Scala Al Paradiso

Scala Al Paradiso translated from Italian is “it climbs to the paradise,” and that can be translated to Stairway to Heaven. I was inspired by the staircase in yesterday’s classic home to search out other amazing stairways.

There’s a lady who’s sure all that glitters is gold
And she’s buying a stairway to heaven.
When she gets there she knows, if the stores are all closed
With a word she cant get what she came for.
Ooh, ooh, and she’s buying a stairway to heaven.

Beautiful historic home for sale for $1,100,000 in Los Angeles.  Unfortunately, the Santa Monica Freeway plowed through the neighborhood in the 1950’s, and the home has been on the decline since then.  It is almost uninhabitable.
